This Code of Conduct establishes the standards of professional and ethical behaviour expected from all Members and Users of IPPEDIA (Intellectual Property Professionals Directory & Knowledge Platform).
IPPEDIA is an independent membership-based Intellectual Property Professionals Directory & Knowledge Platform committed to promoting professionalism, integrity, transparency and respect within India's Intellectual Property ecosystem.
This Code should be read together with the Membership Policy, Community Guidelines, Terms & Conditions and other applicable Platform Policies.
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to encourage ethical participation, professional behaviour and responsible use of the Platform while maintaining a respectful environment for all Members and Users.
2. Integrity
Members shall provide accurate, truthful and complete professional information and shall not knowingly submit false, misleading or deceptive information.
3. Professionalism
Members are expected to conduct themselves professionally while interacting with IPPEDIA, other Members and Users. Professional courtesy and mutual respect should be maintained at all times.
4. Compliance with Laws
Members and Users shall comply with all applicable laws, regulations and professional obligations while using the Platform.
5. Respect for Intellectual Property
Users shall respect copyright, trademark, patent and other intellectual property rights. No content should be submitted that infringes the rights of any third party.
6. Honest Professional Information
Professional Profiles should contain only factual and accurate professional information. Members shall promptly update their information whenever any material change occurs.
7. Respectful Communication
Harassment, abusive language, discriminatory conduct, threats, intimidation or defamatory statements are strictly prohibited.
8. Prohibited Conduct
Members and Users shall not:
- Provide false or misleading information.
- Impersonate another individual or organisation.
- Upload malicious software or harmful code.
- Violate intellectual property rights.
- Engage in fraudulent or unlawful activities.
- Interfere with the normal operation of the Platform.
- Misuse another person's account or confidential information.
9. No Misrepresentation
Members shall not falsely claim qualifications, registrations, affiliations, certifications or professional experience.
10. Privacy and Confidentiality
Members and Users shall respect the privacy of others and shall not misuse personal information obtained through the Platform.
11. Enforcement
IPPEDIA reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this Code of Conduct and may issue warnings, suspend or terminate Membership, remove content or take any other action considered appropriate under applicable Platform Policies.
12. No Endorsement
Compliance with this Code of Conduct does not constitute endorsement, recommendation, certification or approval by IPPEDIA.
13. Amendments
IPPEDIA may amend this Code of Conduct from time to time. Revised versions shall become effective immediately upon publication on the Platform unless otherwise specified.
