These Community Guidelines govern participation on IPPEDIA (Intellectual Property Professionals Directory & Knowledge Platform).
IPPEDIA is an independent membership-based Intellectual Property Professionals Directory & Knowledge Platform that promotes accessibility to factual professional information and Intellectual Property knowledge resources through a professional, respectful and informative digital environment.
All Users, Visitors and Members are expected to comply with these Guidelines together with the Terms & Conditions, Membership Policy and other applicable Platform Policies.
1. Purpose
The purpose of these Community Guidelines is to promote a respectful, professional and trustworthy environment for all Users and Members of IPPEDIA.
2. Respectful Behaviour
All Members and Users are expected to interact respectfully with others.
Professional disagreements should always remain courteous and constructive.
3. Professional Conduct
Members should ensure that all information published on their Professional Profile is accurate, lawful and professionally appropriate.
Professional conduct should always reflect honesty, integrity and respect for applicable laws and professional ethics.
4. Prohibited Conduct
The following activities are prohibited on IPPEDIA:
- Harassment or abusive behaviour.
- Defamatory or offensive content.
- False or misleading information.
- Spam or unsolicited promotional material.
- Impersonation of any person or organisation.
- Fraudulent activities.
- Uploading malicious software or harmful code.
- Violation of intellectual property rights.
- Any activity prohibited by applicable law.
5. Professional Profiles
Professional Profiles should contain only factual professional information voluntarily submitted by eligible Members.
Publication of a Professional Profile does not constitute advertisement, recommendation, endorsement, certification or guarantee by IPPEDIA.
6. Intellectual Property Resources
Users are encouraged to use Intellectual Property knowledge resources responsibly.
Educational materials available on the Platform are intended solely for informational and educational purposes and shall not be construed as legal advice.
7. Reporting Misconduct
Users may report any content or conduct that appears to violate these Community Guidelines or any applicable Platform Policy.
IPPEDIA may review reported matters and take appropriate action where considered necessary.
8. Moderation
IPPEDIA reserves the right to moderate, edit, restrict, suspend or remove any content or Member activity that violates these Guidelines or other Platform Policies.
9. No Endorsement
IPPEDIA does not endorse, recommend, certify, rank or guarantee any Member, professional, law firm or organisation.
Users should independently verify professional qualifications, registrations, credentials and suitability before engaging professional services.
10. Compliance with Laws
All Members and Users shall comply with applicable laws, professional regulations and intellectual property laws while using the Platform.
11. Changes to these Guidelines
IPPEDIA may amend these Community Guidelines from time to time.
Updated versions shall become effective immediately upon publication on the Platform unless otherwise specified.
