Copyright Infringement (Notice & Takedown) Policy

Last Updated: July 2026

IPPEDIA (Intellectual Property Professionals Directory & Knowledge Platform) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects all Users and Members to do the same.

This Copyright Infringement (Notice & Takedown) Policy explains the procedure for reporting alleged copyright infringement relating to content published on https://ippedia.in.

This Policy should be read together with the Copyright Policy, Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and other applicable Platform Policies.

1. Respect for Copyright

IPPEDIA respects copyright and other intellectual property rights protected under applicable laws.

Members and Users must ensure that any content submitted to the Platform does not infringe the rights of any third party.

2. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that any material available on IPPEDIA infringes your copyright, you may submit a written Copyright Infringement Notice containing sufficient details for us to identify and review the concerned content.

3. Information Required in a Notice

Your notice should include, wherever applicable:

  • Your full name and contact details.
  • Description of the copyrighted work.
  • URL of the allegedly infringing content.
  • Description of the alleged infringement.
  • Statement that you believe the use is unauthorized.
  • Statement that the information provided is accurate.
  • Your electronic or physical signature.

4. Review Process

Upon receiving a complete notice, IPPEDIA may review the complaint and may seek additional information from the complainant or the concerned Member where necessary.

IPPEDIA may temporarily restrict access to the disputed content while the matter is under review, where considered appropriate.

5. Takedown Action

Where IPPEDIA reasonably determines that copyrighted material has been published without appropriate authorization, the Platform may:

  • Remove the content.
  • Disable access to the content.
  • Request corrections.
  • Suspend publication pending review.
  • Take any other appropriate action.

6. Counter Notification

Where applicable, the concerned Member or User may submit a written explanation or supporting documents demonstrating that the published content does not infringe copyright or that appropriate authorization exists.

IPPEDIA may consider such information before making a final decision.

7. False Complaints

Submitting knowingly false, misleading or malicious copyright complaints may result in rejection of the complaint and may expose the complainant to liability under applicable law.

8. Repeat Infringers

IPPEDIA reserves the right to suspend or terminate Membership or restrict access where repeated copyright infringement is established.

9. No Legal Determination

IPPEDIA is an independent platform and is not a Court or statutory authority.

Review of copyright complaints is an administrative process intended solely for Platform management and shall not constitute any legal determination regarding ownership or infringement.
