This Copyright Policy governs the ownership, use and protection of content available on IPPEDIA (Intellectual Property Professionals Directory & Knowledge Platform) ("IPPEDIA", "we", "our", or "us") and explains the rights and responsibilities of Users, Members and Visitors regarding copyrighted materials published on the Platform.

This Policy should be read together with the Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Membership Policy and other applicable Platform Policies.


1. Ownership of Content

Unless otherwise stated, all content available on IPPEDIA, including but not limited to text, articles, case law summaries, page design, graphics, logos, icons, databases, layouts, source code, images and other original material, is owned by IPPEDIA or its respective copyright owners and is protected under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.


2. Third-Party Content

IPPEDIA may publish or refer to content originating from third parties, including judicial decisions, Government notifications, Intellectual Property office publications, statutes, rules, regulations and other publicly available materials.

All copyrights in such materials remain with their respective owners.

Publication of third-party materials does not imply transfer of ownership to IPPEDIA.


3. Member Content

Members remain responsible for the professional information, profile photographs, biographies and other content voluntarily submitted by them for publication.

By submitting content to IPPEDIA, Members represent that they possess the necessary rights or permissions to publish such content on the Platform.


4. Permitted Use

Users may access and use Platform content solely for lawful personal, informational, educational and non-commercial purposes.

Users shall not reproduce, copy, distribute, modify, republish, sell, license or commercially exploit any Platform content without prior written permission unless permitted by applicable law.


5. Prohibited Activities

Without prior written permission from IPPEDIA or the respective copyright owner, Users shall not:

  • Copy substantial portions of Platform content.
  • Republish articles or educational materials.
  • Remove copyright notices.
  • Create derivative works from Platform content.

  • Reproduce the database or Professional Directory in whole or in part.

6. Trademarks

"IPPEDIA", its logo and associated branding elements are proprietary marks of IPPEDIA unless otherwise stated.

Nothing contained on the Platform grants any licence or right to use any trademark, logo or branding without prior written permission.


7. Copyright Infringement

IPPEDIA respects the intellectual property rights of others.

If you believe that any content published on the Platform infringes your copyright, you may notify IPPEDIA with sufficient details enabling us to identify the allegedly infringing material.

Upon receiving an appropriate notice, IPPEDIA may review the matter and take such action as considered appropriate, including removal or restriction of the concerned content where justified.


8. Fair Use

Nothing contained in this Policy shall restrict any use permitted under applicable copyright laws, including fair dealing, fair use or other statutory exceptions recognised under applicable legislation.


9. Intellectual Property Rights

All intellectual property rights not expressly granted under this Policy remain reserved by IPPEDIA or the respective rights holders.

Publication of publicly available legal materials, judicial decisions, Government notifications or official Intellectual Property resources is intended solely for informational and educational purposes.

IPPEDIA does not claim ownership over content that belongs to Government authorities, Courts or other lawful copyright owners.


11. Policy Updates

IPPEDIA may amend this Copyright Policy from time to time.

Revised versions shall become effective immediately upon publication on the Platform unless otherwise specified.
