Membership Policy

This Membership Policy governs membership of IPPEDIA (Intellectual Property Professionals Directory & Knowledge Platform).
IPPEDIA is an independent membership-based Intellectual Property Professionals Directory & Knowledge Platform. The Platform facilitates access to factual professional information relating to eligible Members together with Intellectual Property knowledge resources, including Intellectual Property case laws, official IP quick links, articles, educational resources and other IP-related information.
This Policy should be read together with the Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and other applicable policies of IPPEDIA.
1. Purpose of Membership
Membership enables eligible Intellectual Property professionals to maintain a Professional Profile on IPPEDIA containing factual professional information for informational purposes.
Membership also provides access to such Platform features, services and resources as may be introduced from time to time.
2. Eligibility
Membership is available only to eligible persons satisfying the criteria prescribed by IPPEDIA.
Submission of an application does not create any right to Membership.
IPPEDIA reserves the right to request supporting information or documents for the purpose of reviewing an application.
3. Professional Categories
At present, Membership is available under the following Professional Categories:
- Trademark Attorney
- Registered Trademark Agent
- Registered Patent Agent
IPPEDIA may introduce, modify or discontinue Professional Categories from time to time.
4. Membership Application
Applicants shall submit complete and accurate information through the prescribed application process.
IPPEDIA may request clarification or additional information wherever considered necessary.
5. Review and Approval
All Membership applications are subject to review by IPPEDIA.
IPPEDIA may approve, reject, seek clarification, or keep an application pending based upon the information available.
IPPEDIA shall not be required to provide reasons for acceptance or rejection of any application unless required by applicable law.
6. Professional Profile Publication
Upon approval of Membership, IPPEDIA may publish a Professional Profile containing factual professional information voluntarily submitted by the Member.
Publication of a Professional Profile is intended solely to facilitate access to factual professional information relating to eligible Members.
Publication of a Professional Profile shall not constitute advertisement, solicitation, endorsement, recommendation, certification, ranking or guarantee by IPPEDIA.
7. Accuracy of Information
Members are solely responsible for ensuring that all information submitted to IPPEDIA is accurate, complete and up to date.
Members shall promptly update any change in their professional information.
8. Member Responsibilities
- Provide accurate professional information.
- Keep profile information updated.
- Comply with applicable laws and professional standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of login credentials.
- Ensure submitted content does not violate third-party rights.
9. Membership Fees
Where applicable, Membership may be subject to payment of prescribed fees.
Applicable Membership fees, validity period and renewal terms shall be notified separately by IPPEDIA.
10. Profile Updates
Members may update their Professional Profile in accordance with the procedures prescribed by IPPEDIA.
IPPEDIA reserves the right to review any updated information before publication.
11. Suspension or Removal
IPPEDIA reserves the right to suspend, restrict or remove Membership or a Professional Profile where:
- False or misleading information is submitted.
- The Member violates applicable laws or Platform policies.
- Required information is not maintained.
- The Member requests removal.
- Any other circumstance where continued publication is considered inappropriate.
12. No Recommendation or Endorsement
IPPEDIA does not advertise, solicit, recommend, endorse, compare, certify, rank or guarantee any Member, professional, law firm, organisation or service.
Users are encouraged to independently verify professional qualifications, registrations, credentials and suitability before engaging any professional services.
13. No Legal Advice
Membership of IPPEDIA shall not be construed as legal advice, professional certification, recognition or approval.
The Platform provides factual professional information and Intellectual Property knowledge resources solely for informational and educational purposes.
14. Privacy
Professional information submitted by Members shall be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy of IPPEDIA.
15. Modification of Membership Policy
IPPEDIA may amend this Membership Policy from time to time. Revised versions shall become effective immediately upon publication on the Platform.
